Introduction to Massage (2 Days)

A weekend training for absolute beginners who wish to learn massage techniques for home use with family and relatives. The course also acts as a ‘taster’ training programme for those who may be considering pursuing a career in the field of complementary health. You will learn a variety of highly relaxing and effective massage strokes for the neck, shoulders, upper back and head all of which are practiced while the client is seated and is therefore particularly suitable for work with family members. Hand and foot massage techniques are also included in the course.
The objective of this course is to teach an awareness of the effects of stress, anxiety, tension on the body and how these can be reduced and alleviated through the use of effective relaxation and massage techniques. The participant will also become aware of how they breathe and how they can use their breath as a simple but effective way of completely relaxing and slowing down the mind and body. *Accredited with the Federation of Holistic Therapists,

Authentic Indian Head Massage Certificate Course (3 days)

This three-day course is accredited to The Indian Head Massage Institute of the London. The Institute of Indian Head Massage certifies colleges in the education of Indian Head Massage. It is an independent body established to uphold the highest standards of Indian Head Massage and professional ethics and thereby ensure public confidence in its registered members. The certificate course covers the following :

  1. Massage techniques
  2. Ayurvedic philosophy of health
  3. The subtle anatomy of the body
  4. The Chakras
